Program

DAY 01

Arrive at Kanha and transfer to Bagh Villas, located on the edge of the forest near the village of Baherakhar. Spend the afternoon at leisure, absorbing the stillness of the Sal forests. As evening falls, enjoy a gentle orientation walk around the property, followed by dinner under the stars.

DAY 02

Early morning game drive into Kanha National Park, led by an expert naturalist. Track wildlife through pristine forest corridors while listening for alarm calls and observing the delicate balance of the jungle ecosystem. Return to the lodge for breakfast and rest. The afternoon is free to relax or explore the property grounds before heading out for an evening safari, offering a different perspective of the forest as it prepares for nightfall.

DAY 03

Begin the day with a guided birdwatching session around the lodge and nearby forest edges—an immersive experience observing avian life, colours, calls, and behaviour. Later, set out on village visits to the small hamlets surrounding Kanha. Walk through traditional mud houses, farmlands, and community spaces, gaining insight into rural life that has coexisted with the forest for generations. Return to Bagh Villas for a relaxed evening at leisure.

DAY 04

Start the morning with a guided yoga session, allowing the sounds of the forest to set the rhythm for a slow, grounding practice. Post breakfast, embark on one of Bagh Villas’ curated biking trails, suitable for your comfort level. Ride through rural landscapes, forest peripheries, and quiet village roads, offering an intimate view of Kanha beyond the safari zones. The remainder of the day is free—ideal for rest, reading, or simply being present in nature.

DAY 05

After breakfast, depart Kanha with a deeper understanding of the forest—not just as a wildlife destination, but as a living, breathing landscape shaped by nature and community.
